Learn how to design and craft a classic all leather bespoke sandal. This two day workshop will teach you all the steps involved in creating a Greek inspired sandal in the tradition of the legendary Barbara Shaum. The workshop will begin with a design and concept session followed by two days of hands on sandal making.
In this workshop you will learn to design, make patterns, cut, dye and prepare leather for straps and footbeds, best methods for construction and finishing, as well as an intro into the world of leather, leather dyes, industry specific tools and techniques.
The class is geared toward those who have an interest in DIY design, fashion design, leather-craft, shoemaking and everyone else who just wants to know how to make everything.
No knowledge is required to take this workshop. Participants must be 18+ years old to participate in this workshop.
